Kyla
Reiner

Kyla Reiner is an interdisciplinary artist working across painting, jewelry, and ceramics. Her imagery draws from animals, water, and weather systems, combining close observation with a stylized, graphic approach—bold color, crisp linework, and layered patterning. Her work often centers on the tension between tenderness and wildness, with creatures depicted as both symbolic and specific, rendered with a sense of motion and narrative.

Reiner holds a BA in Studio Art and a BA in Ecology, and her practice is grounded in the overlap between visual culture and natural science. Across mediums, she treats materials as part of the subject: pigment becomes atmosphere, glaze becomes surface, and metal becomes a kind of drawing in space. Her work presents a distinct voice rooted in ecological awareness.
